Someday Is Now: The Art and Legacy of Corita Kent

Celebrating the second edition of Someday Is Now, originally published in 2013 and long out of print, this comprehensive monograph on the work of Corita Kent returns as a vibrant showcase of prints and ephemera spanning all phases of her career. The publication reaffirms Kent’s significance as an artist, educator and social justice advocate.

The book expands beyond the iconic 1960s serigraphs for which Kent is best known, presenting early abstractions and text-based works alongside the lyrical prints she produced in the 1970s and 1980s. Someday Is Now is enriched by select writings by Kent herself, interviews with former students and collaborators, and reflections from a wide range of artists, curators, and designers.

To celebrate the publication, a panel featuring artist Andrea Bowers, designer Juilette Bellocq, and Dayton Director of the Tang Museum at Skidmore College, Ian Berry will participate in a conversation about the book and its broader themes. The discussion will offer reflections on the artwork, its context, and its lasting impact.
