Position Summary

The Getty Marrow Public Programs and Curatorial Intern will play a vital role in connecting audiences with Corita Art Center’s art and archival collections by supporting public programs and exhibition engagement. This internship offers an opportunity to work closely with CAC’s director of public programs and senior curator to support public programs, collections research, and content creation focused on CAC’s 2026 exhibition.

Key responsibilities include developing and delivering public tours and programs, conducting research of art and archival materials, and helping translate our collections into accessible formats for diverse audiences. The intern will track engagement, contribute to interpretive content such as short archival digital features, and help shape visitor experiences that foster meaningful connections between collections and communities. The intern will also support CAC's senior curator with miscellaneous exhibition and collections management tasks, working directly with CAC’s internal databases, public collections page, and archival finding aid.

This role will also support public-facing events at CAC’s new downtown Los Angeles location, ensuring that programs are welcoming and accessible. By engaging directly with audiences, the intern will contribute to CAC’s mission to educate and inspire through Corita Kent’s art and commitment to social change. Drawing from their research and their experiences supporting tours and programs, the intern will identify items from CAC’s archives and create accessible digital content designed to spark curiosity and provide audiences with deeper insight into the archives.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about arts education, public engagement, and collections-based research. They will have an art history background with an interest in education and public programs. Deep attention to detail, excellent written and communication skills, and a familiarity with digital content creation tools and platforms are required.
