Summer 2008 at the Corita Art Center
The lazy days of summer are almost upon us. The Corita Art Center will be
relatively quiet as we prepare for a very busy fall. However, we look
forward to July when we welcome the class on Women in Art from Pacific Oaks
College.

Anyone in San Francisco between July and January will not want to miss the
exhibition at SFMOMA of the new works recently acquired from the Corita Art
Center spanning Corita's incredibly prolific period from 1965-1968.

And across the Atlantic, Dundee Contemporary Arts in Dundee, Scotland
will not only exhibit Corita's works, but will have a series of educational
and art making activities to coincide with their fall exhibition.

Mark your calendars now for the month of November when we celebrate what
would have been Corita's 90th birthday and welcome the re-release of Corita
Kent and Jan Steward's ground-breaking book "Learning by Heart, Lessons to
Free the Creative Spirit."
